Azerbaijan sharply reduced wheat import this year

In January-February of 2020, Azerbaijan imported 98 153,53 tonnes of wheat worthed USD 21 543,6 thousand and this is 2,6 times less in terms of value compared to the same months of the previous year, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the report of State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
In terms of amount, in January-February of the current year, wheat imports decreased by 2,5 times compared to the same months of 2019
In the first two months of the current year, a ton of wheat was imported at an average price of AZN 219,5 and this is AZN 2,3 less compared to the same months of 2019.
