Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova commented Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, said that Ukraine should buy any weapon it can use, APA reports.
“Von der Leyen has called for Ukraine to be given any weapon it can use. Nuclear or what?” – Zakharova wrote on the telegram channel.
Earlier, Von der Leyen expressed hope that EU sanctions would push the Russian economy into recession for decades.
She said that EU countries have imposed strict sanctions against Russia.
According to the head of the EC, the Russian economy lacks modern and critical technologies due to Western sanctions.
