Legendary Georgian actor Vakhtang Kikabidze died

Vakhtang Konstantinovich Kikabidze was born on July 19, 1938 in Tbilisi. In 1961, he entered the Tbilisi Institute of Foreign Languages and continued his acting and singing career in parallel. His first film debut began in 1966 with the film "Meeting in the Mountains".
Although the actor appeared in a number of films, his real fame came in 1977 when he played the main role in Georgi Danelia's "Mimino". For this film, he was awarded the State Prize of the USSR.
Vakhtang Kikabidze also found fame as a popular pop singer.
In January 2018, Vakhtang Kikabidze's solo concert was held within the Gabala XII International "Veselo" Humor and Music Festival.
